New Flight Kitchen Project for Sri Lankan Catering
The main contractor of the project was Bovis Lendlease, Malaysia who was affiliated to Bovis Lendlease of Australia. May 2005 to June 2007
Sri Lankan Catering provides on board meals for mainly its national carrier Srilankan Airlines and many other reputed international airlines. Srilankan catering is rated as one of the best airline catering services in the region which has won many accolades for their quality, in flight cuisine. The project was to enhance the capacity of the kitchen to enable them to increase the preparation of number of meals from 3000 to 5000 per day.
We were awarded the contract based on our reliability and the expertise we possessed in the area of customs clearance despite so many other potential bidders.

SIEMENS – Power sector Development Transmission Project
Our company has earned a reputation as one of the few companies in the country which has adequate expertise to handle over dimension cargo. As a result in 2008 the company was awarded the contract for Documentation and Customs clearance of 8 units Transformers of 42.5 Tons each, which was cleared by us within 24 hours of vessels arrival.
The project involved among others transportation of one unit of over dimension cargo from Colombo Port to Deniyaya, a town in southern part of Sri Lanka, which had a distance approximately 250 km’s. While transporting the particular transformer the company had to deploy its expertise to move the cargo over many bridges which were not supportive of the bearing weight of this magnitude.
The task involved collaborating with number of line agencies as well as securing, engineering expertise to put up specialized structures underneath the particular bridges to ensure that the bridges are not damaged while transporting the over dimension cargo.

Wind Power Projects
With the companies expertise in handling of over dimension cargo the company was awarded two wind power projects including the first ever wind power project in the country.
The two projects involved customs clearance and transportation of wind mill towers and equipment from Colombo Port to Puttalam a township 156 km’s North West of Colombo. Considering the over dimension of the towers concerned which stood 110’ feet in height and each tower weighing over 45 tons, the company had to utilize specialized trailers imported from India.
At the same time to ensure smooth transportation of cargo with minimum interruption to the road traffic and obstruction to over head wires the company had to engage with number of agencies including Road Development Authority, Traffic Police, Sri Lanka Telecom, Ceylon Electricity Board, etc.
The two contractors of the project was:
Seguwantivu Wind Power (Pvt) Ltd. (January 2010 to 2011)
Nirmalapura Wind Power (Pvt) Ltd. (April – June 2011)

Biwater Contracting B.V. / National Water Supply and Drainage Project.
The project concerned was to put up a water treatment plant and laying of pipes for a distance of 200 km’s north western town of Kochchikade. The total project value was 36 million euros and the project was awarded to Biwater Contracting B.V. which comes under the UK based Biwater International group.
The company was entrusted with the task of handling Customs clearance of well over 80 different shipments of heavy cargo in carrying out this project during the period between 2008 and 2010.
The major project activities involved besides regular consignments, Customs clearance, transportation unloading and stacking of consignments of 6000 CBM and 4800 CBM water pipes of different sizes and other equipment.

We were the main clearing agents for S & T Interiors Pvt Ltd who was awarded the main contract for Interior Designing.
We cleared and delivered more than 100 shipments from time to time a combination of Airfreight, Sea freight LCL’s and FCL’s. However we managed to clear shipments as per the main contractor’s requirements.
